Abubakar Tsav welcomes Buhari to Nigeria with complaints of hunger and suffering
FORMER Lagos State Police Commissioner and elder statesman, Abubakar Tsav has welcomed President Muhammadu Buhari back home after his 50 days of medical vacation abroad.
Speaking with journalists from his office in Markurdi, the Benue State capital, the former Lagos Police boss reminded the president that it is well he has returned to douse the tension surrounding his health and prolonged stay overseas.
However, he reminded the president that Nigerians are feeling the pangs of hunger and urged him and his economic team to do something urgently about it.
Tsav said that many Nigerians, as a matter of fact, appreciate Acting President Osinbajo's performance while he was away which according to him has set a new standard for the governing All Progressives' Congress.
However, he minced no words in reminding President Buhari of the hunger ravaging the nooks and crannies of the country and the consequent suffering and hardship.
On the rising profile of Osinbajo, Tsav was of the view that it is inconsequential.
His words: “The President will not have any problem with the Vice President over the wide commendation of his performance by the people; they are working as a team.”
