Mr Eze, aged 52 docked for raping his 17-years-old daughter

Chukwuma Eze, aged 52 residing at N0 2, Agbeke Close, Iyana-Era, Badagry Expressway, Lagos was on Tuesday charged before a magistrate court in Ikeja, Lagos State for allegedly raping his biological daughter aged 17.

The prosecution witness,  Sergeant Raphael Donny, said the offence was committed sometime in June, 2016 in Mr Chukwuma Eze's residence.He said:

According to him, “The accused raped his 17-year-old daughter and threatened to kill her if she tells anyone.

“The victim’s mother was separated from her father and because of this, she stays with her mother and goes to her father for holidays.

“When the victim got to her mother’s house, she told her what happened who reported the matter to the police.,”

Sergeant Donny said the police delved into action and swooped on the accused seeing that the offence contravened Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused,Mr Chukwuma on his part pleaded not guilty. However the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Davies Abegunde, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Case has been adjourned the case to March 22, 2017.
