Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D, a former teacher and Public Servant, living in a 2 bedrooms hardly to pay off his
bills some years back, with that being said, he is currently the 9th Governor of Abia State, in office since May 29, 2015, was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
However was born on October 18, 1964, to the family of late Pa Ishmael and Deaconess Bessie Ikpeazu of Umuebere in Umuobiakwa village, Isialaukwu, Mbato Autonomous Community in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria and spouse Nkechi Ikpeazu, (Nee Nwakanma) with 4 children.
Ikpeazu who is not a straight forward person due to the way he was brought up from the street, rude, ill-behavior, insubordinate, indiscipline, disrespectful, negligent, selfish, lies so much and speaks from both sides of his mouth, looting Abia State treasury to nothing.
Hon. Iheanacho Obioma a former member of House of Representatives and chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC in Abia State, has described Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration in the state as a "total failure, saying the state is going down rather than progressing".
Obioma "proclaimed that Ikpeazu is running a government of nepotism to the detriment of the entire people of the state, ofwhich Abia people are now wallowing in dejection".
The state chairman of the NUP Chief Chukwuma Udensi stated that "Abia State pensioners are dying in pain and starvation under huge indebtedness of over 22 months of pension arrears and 15 years plus of unpaid in the state, begging and worrying the Government, whereas the govt haven't done anything to show that they are ready to clear the backlogs of arrears so as to pay the pensions and retired workers in the State rather receiving murderous penalties from Ikpeazu".
Moreover, Ikpeazu "have been presenting and rendering the government house totally to the terrorist, camping Hausa-Fulani Herdsmen "The Jihad Soldiers", backed by the grand patron president Buhari to persistently continue the ongoing Ethnic Cleansing and Islamic implementation in the State. For he doesn't have the interest of the people at hand, Abia State has become one of the central zone of Jihadist terrorist and the local leaders are being bought over".
"In other words, he proscribed the Indigenous People Of Biafra IPOB in combination with Ohaneze/ Nnia Nwodo and other old eastern governors for total destruction".
